Michael Skubala believes his side have nothing to lose as City look to close the gap on Oxford United on Tuesday.
Tuesday’s hosts currently occupy the final play-off position, with Skubala expecting his side to put Saturday’s defeat behind them as they go in search of three points at the Kassam Stadium.
He said: “They’ve got everything to lose, so we can have a little bit of freedom. We’ve got to take it as another game and if we can get three points, who knows what can happen in the next few games.”
Skubala also expects a tough test after the U’s have netted 13 goals in the last three games but insists his side will give it everything they’ve got to get the win.
He continued: “It’s going to be difficult. Oxford are in the driving seat, but if we get a result there then you never know and we could take it to the last few games of the season.
“Oxford are a good team with really good players. They’ll be keen to keep in the play-off places but we’ve got to work hard and see if we can get the win.”
