Lukas Jensen praised the support of over 1,100 travelling Imps who celebrated a gutsy 1-0 victory at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Dane kept a 19th league clean sheet of the season and made some vital saves as City kept their play-off hopes alive against Oxford United.
Jensen said: “We’ve got one of the best fan bases in the league. Definitely the loudest with the amount of numbers we’ve got, and you can see how much it matters to them.
“We always play for the fans. When they bring those numbers and make that noise, it’s something special.”
Jensen also enjoyed the fight his side showed to keep in-form Oxford at bay once Danny Mandroiu had given the visiting Imps an early lead in the second half.
He added: “We dug in. It was a tough game and we knew what was on the line.
“We played with freedom because we had nothing to lose. Once we got into the game, we showed on the counter-attack that we had quality on the ball.”
