Ben House has applauded the spirit within the group after City recorded a fifth win on the bounce at Carlisle United.
House opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a well-executed move before Joe Taylor and Ted Bishop netted in the second half to seal all three points at Brunton Park.
He said: “We always knew it was going to be tough heading to Carlisle especially because they’re fighting for their lives, but I think the boys went about it really well and we got the job done.
“I think it was a great passage of play for my goal. I thought Joe Taylor was going to shoot because of the form he’s been on but it was clever to knock it down to me to finish it.
“We’re full of spirit and have got great fans behind us - I can’t thank them enough for coming to support us again.”
House was also pleased with the work from Jordan Wright and his defence who also played a key part in the victory which saw City to a 15th match unbeaten.
He added: “Jordan was absolutely phenomenal and I think he kept us in it quite a few times.
“The defence in front of him were fantastic too and that's what we need. We’ve been scoring a few goals recently but without them at the back we couldn’t do it.
“We’re going to take each game as it comes and we don’t want to get too high or too low. It’s all about carrying on this run and seeing where we end up from there.”
