Tom Shaw is prepared for the test that Michael Appleton’s Charlton Athletic will provide on Tuesday 24 October.
Following his first victory as interim head coach at Fleetwood, Shaw’s side will welcome the in-form Addicks to the LNER Stadium.
Shaw said: “Charlton have found a way of working that’s clicked. We’ve discussed how to stop that, but we’ve also had massive discussions about how we can really get after them.
“They have some good players to compliment a good manager, so we know we’re in for a tough test with them being on a very good run, but the feeling is bring it on.”
Shaw is also excited to lead the team out for his first home game in charge of the Imps, and knows the supporters will get behind his side.
He added: “The players have earned an atmosphere tomorrow night and we have an opportunity to blow the roof off the LNER Stadium.
“I know how the supporters will be, I’ve seen these nights under the lights, so hopefully there will be big numbers.
“If the players show the Lincoln City traits, the fabric of the football club, then I’ll know we’ll give the supporters something to get behind.”
