Lasse Sorensen was happy that City’s pre-game plan paid off as he scored both goals in the 2-0 victory against Cheltenham Town.
Sorensen managed to expose the space on the wings against the Robins, leading to his match-winning strikes.
He said: "We thought they would play the diamond formation, so we had practiced that all week. I was quite happy, because it meant there was loads of space.
"In the first half we really attacked them and looked dangerous on nearly every attack."
The Dane was also pleased that City didn’t suffer from a cup hangover after their exit from the competition against West Ham United.
He added: "The whole atmosphere on Wednesday night was fantastic.
"But it’s games like this in League One that are so hard because you go into a completely different match, but I think we did that really well so credit to everybody."
