Tom Shaw is motivated for Saturday’s trip to Exeter City as his side aim for three consecutive wins in Sky Bet League One.
The interim head coach has overseen wins against Fleetwood Town and Charlton Athletic in the last week and will look to add to this record at the weekend.
He said: “We have had two game plans for two different games which have worked and have been executed brilliantly. I just want to do the best I can for the club and the players.
“We know we’re in for a tough game on Saturday. Getting three wins in a row is a big task but one that the players and staff are really motivated for.
“We are trying to give the players an edge and spring in their step. I love this football club and love working here - this week has been a dream come true.”
Shaw also appreciates the City supporters’ efforts across the last two games and hopes to repay them with another positive result at St James Park.
He continued: “We massively appreciate the backing of whoever can make the journey and the noise the away fans make is always brilliant.
“The players are appreciative of our fans and we will endeavor to give them something to get behind. We look forward to seeing everyone down there and will try our best to put on a show.”
