Mark Kennedy believes there are things to build on from City’s first-half performance at Peterborough United.
The Imps created chances in the opening stages at the Weston Homes Stadium, but ultimately fell to a 2-0 defeat to last season’s play-off semi-finalists.
He said: “For 45 minutes, we looked like a really good team. I’m pleased that we put ourselves in the position to score goals rather than coming away without laying a glove on Peterborough.”
“I thought we had really good moments in the game.”
Kennedy was also pleased to see Mide Shodipo back in a City shirt after resigning for the club on a short-term deal on Friday evening.
He added: “Mide stood out for us because he’s a talented player. He knows us well and we’ll be able to implement him into the squad well.”
