Mark Kennedy is expecting a stern test from Leyton Orient as the Imps travel to Brisbane Road on Tuesday night.
City picked up another three points at the LNER Stadium on Saturday, but Kennedy is wary of the threat Orient will pose.
Kennedy said: “They’ve got some good players and a great manager. It’s a big club with a big history and a huge fan following - it’s a tough place to go.
“They’re off the back of a promotion and have made a really solid start with some good wins this year.
“I look around at some of the players they’ve got, and they’ve got some good individuals.”
The Imps currently sit 10th in the league standings, and Kennedy is pleased with the start his side have made to the season.
He added: “I’m pleased we are where we are. I expected us to do well this year and kick on from what we did last season.
“Unfortunately, we’ve had a setback with key players being out in one position, so I am pleased with where we are but we’re still in a period of the season where things can turn really quickly.”
