Adam Jackson feels his fellow defenders have helped contribute to what has been a defensively solid start to the season.
The Imps have conceded just nine goals so far this campaign, and Jackson feels the performances of the other defenders have been key to that record.
Jackson said: “It’s helping to have the two lads either side this season who have been excellent.
“Sean Roughan has been brilliant this campaign, and Paudie O’Connor’s been reliable like last year.
“If we do need to swap a position out, we’ve got two lads in Alex Mitchell and TJ Eyoma who have also been brilliant, so it’s good to have that bit of competition.”
Jackson is well aware of the task facing City on Saturday as they travel to Peterborough United.
He added: “They’ve got good players, and a good squad so it’s always going to be a tough game.
“Hopefully we’ll use what happened there last season and turn it around this weekend.”
