Jack Vale is looking to build on his first City goal as Port Vale visit the LNER Stadium on Saturday.
The Welshman got off the mark in red and white in Tuesday evening’s 2-0 win against Notts County and is hoping to continue this form at the weekend.
He said: “It was good to score again having been out injured for a bit. It was a decent win and I thought everyone played well too. I am buzzing to get the goal and am looking forward to Saturday now.
“I am now getting some minutes which is what I want to be doing. I need to work hard and take the chances when they come.”
Vale is also pleased to have overcome his recent injury and wants to continue contributing to the team moving forwards.
He added: “It was frustrating to be out injured but I got my head down and worked hard to get back out on the pitch. I am grateful to be at Lincoln City and getting game time.
“I think Port Vale will be a good side on Saturday and we’ll have to be ready for it.”
