Michael Skubala is looking forward to his first home matchday as City’s head coach.
A bumper crowd is expected at the LNER Stadium and Skubala is eager to experience the atmosphere against play-off chasing Barnsley.
He said: “The staff have been telling me to expect big numbers and it’ll be great to hear the atmosphere. I know the players love playing in front of the home crowd because they really help to drive them on.
“Barnsley are going well, and you can see by their results in the league that it will be a tough game, so I expect them to come into this strong.”
Skubala is also pleased with the hard work the staff are putting in to help familiarise the squad with his methods and explains the group have moved their focus quickly onto preparing for this weekend's fixture.
He added: “It’s always great to get the wagon rolling but that’s gone now, and we must focus on how we can take the next three points, starting with Barnsley.
“The team Lincoln have built in performance services is really honest and hard-working, and that helps the technical staff and players to improve every day, because what you see on a Saturday should be the product of what you do daily.
“The players are getting lots of clips from me with lots of little details to help them become the best version of themselves to work in our system.”
