Ethan Erhahon is excited to make his first appearance in the Emirates FA Cup as City take on Morecambe in the first round of the competition at the LNER Stadium.
City enjoyed a memorable Carabao Cup journey earlier this year, and Erhahon is hoping the Imps can replicate that in the FA Cup.
Erhahon said: “If you are able to pick up a few wins there's the chance of getting a big tie at home or away. It’s not too dissimilar from the Carabao Cup in that respect, and as a club we want to get as far as we can.
"I have watched a lot of the competition growing up and it’s a cup you know the history of. There are clubs from all different levels still in at this stage so it’s a massive competition and we want to go as far as we can."
Erhahon is also enjoying his partnership with Ethan Hamilton in the centre of City’s midfield, feeling that his fellow Scotsman compliments his game.
He added: “I think we complement each other very well, sometimes you get two midfielders who are exactly the same, but there’s a lot of differences in our games, we’re not similar in many things - but it works.”
“He’s got the attacking drive while I sit, get on the ball and shore everything up at the back.”
