City will head to Blackpool, Wrexham, Accrington Stanley or Wigan Athletic in the second round of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
The draw will take place live on Sky Sports News at 6.30pm on Friday 24 November.
City are ball No.15 in draw A of the northern section, with the fixture due to take place in the week commencing December 4.
