Matty Virtue is excited to be back involved with the matchday squad following a spell on the sidelines.
The midfielder made his return to the pitch during Tuesday’s goalless draw at Cheltenham and is hoping to contribute to the team’s forward momentum in the upcoming fixtures.
He said: “We have looked really solid and we are now unbeaten in 10 which is something we can build on. Since the defeat away at Charlton we have gone from strength to strength.
“I am just happy to be back playing and back involved with the group. The lads and staff are great and I am just concentrating on a strong end to the season.”
Virtue also wanted to thank the club’s medical team for helping him through the recovery process and is now set on building connections on the pitch with some of the January signings.
He added: “I can only thank the medical team and the club for letting me do my rehab here, which was my choice.
“Ethan Erhahon is a great player and an even better person which is positive because you always want good people in your group. I am looking forward to getting on the pitch with him.”
