Max Sanders believes there are positives to take despite being edged out of a result on Saturday afternoon.
The midfielder returned to Kennedy’s side to contribute towards a performance which he believes was controlled against Fleetwood Town.
Sanders said: “While we’re very disappointed to lose, we can take positives from the way we played.
“In the second half particularly we controlled the game in their half, but they’re strong from set-pieces and that’s where they punished us which is disappointing.
“In training we have tried to bring control into our game, and we did that on Saturday so despite the result, I think we showed a good reaction from the week before.”
Sanders, who played a variety of roles in City's midfield, also praised the performance of Regan Poole who produced a goal-line clearance and got on the scoresheet at Highbury Stadium.
He added: “I enjoyed being back on the pitch and whatever role I’m asked to do, I’ll do it for the team. I’ve had to bide my time again for minutes, but I was happy to be out there.
“Regan Poole has popped up with a few important goals for us this season, he has been brilliant and he scored at a great time for us. That set us up for a second half where I thought we were on top, so it’s disappointing we’ve not taken any points.”
