Paudie O’Connor wants to continue his run of games in the team as City eye a positive end to the campaign.
The Imps secured a 10th league game unbeaten with a goalless draw at Cheltenham, which is something the defender is keen to build on heading into Saturday’s trip to Exeter.
He said: “That’s 10 games unbeaten now which is something to be proud of and build on. There are still a lot of points to play for and we want to finish as high as we can.
“As a defender you don’t tend to get rotated as much as the forward players, so for Regan Poole and I we’re both hoping to continue our run of playing every league game this season.
“We both want to keep performing well and make it hard for the head coach to leave us out.”
O’Connor played his part in adding another clean sheet to this season’s tally and has said that he is pleased with the amount of chances his team-mates restricted the opposition to on Tuesday evening.
He added: “Looking back at the end of the season we will probably see this result as a good 0-0. Overall we probably had the more clear cut chances and as a unit we defended quite well as well.
“I thought we played through the thirds quite well in parts of the game. We managed the game fairly well and didn’t give them many chances - I don’t think Carl Rushworth had to work too hard which was pleasing.”
