City will be boosted by a number of players who are set to return to the squad next week.
The Imps were narrowly defeated by Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon, but City’s head coach Mark Kennedy believes there are positives to take from the performance including a number of players who could return ahead of a trip to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday next weekend.
Kennedy said: "I told the lads after the game, if they play like that every week, they’ll win lots of games of football and we’ll definitely gather some points with those types of performances.
"Paudie O’Connor will return from his suspension, and we think Ethan Erhahon and Mide Shodipo could be back with us in the week.
"We’ll also have Carl Rushworth who is an outstanding goalkeeper and after not having any defenders on the bench on Saturday, Sean Roughan’s return will give us options."
Kennedy also continued to draw positives from the City supporters who have continued to back his side.
He added: "Not only did the fans support us during the game, they stayed and did afterwards too.
"A defeat is a bitter pill to swallow and they’ll go home drained and tired, but the applause they gave the players after the game is something we are lucky to receive. That is continually noticed and is something we’re very much aware of and thankful for."
