Michael Skubala has applauded the continued support from the City faithful who turned out in their numbers on Boxing Day.
More than 10,000 supporters packed into the LNER Stadium to watch the Imps battle it out against high-flying Bolton Wanderers.
He said: “I am really proud of the crowd and I thought they were amazing. When we were under pressure with 10 men you could really hear them.
“I think we are going to need that over the coming games where we are slightly depleted in our squad. I thought the crowd was fantastic to help the lads through the game.”
Skubala is also proud of how his players pushed Bolton until the very end of the game whilst with 10 men.
He added: “The lads were digging deep and I thought we did enough to get something out of the game, especially in our second half performance.
“I want to talk about the warriors out there - I thought they were brilliant to a man and we nearly scored at the end through Lasse Sorensen too.”
