Ethan Hamilton was full of praise for Accrington Stanley when reflecting on his time at the club ahead of Tuesday’s Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie.
The Scotsman spoke in the official Lincoln City 2024 annual about the real family friendly nature of the club during his time at the Wham Stadium, which is something he feels is replicated throughout the staff and supporters at the Imps too.
He said: “Accrington is a brilliant club which has a lot of really good people working there. It is a real family club where players roll their sleeves up and the fans back the players all the way. The coaching staff there are top class and I had some good times during my two years there.
“Despite being a slightly smaller club in League One at the time, there was expectation amongst the players and staff because that’s the way they are. We believed that we could win any game we went into because we had a really hard working group who always got stuck in.”
Since arriving at the LNER Stadium in August Hamilton has become a regular on the teamsheet and believes the welcoming environment throughout all areas at the club have helped him to hit the ground running.
He continues: “I have loved it so far because you are surrounded by brilliant people. You get really looked after well and it’s also been enjoyable playing in front of the fans at the LNER Stadium too.
“I have settled in well and there are quite a lot of lads who are a similar age to me who all get on really well - it’s a nice place to be and play your football.”
