Ethan Hamilton has been impressed with the squad togetherness since arriving permanently at the club.
The Imps will return to action on Tuesday evening against Notts County in the Carabao Cup, which Hamilton sees as an opportunity to respond to the setback of Saturday’s opening day defeat at Bolton.
He said: “We will look back at the game on Monday and go through it to see where we can improve. The game on Tuesday is nice so we will go straight into that and really push on.
“There are lessons to be learned and things to take from the game. You can see a group that’s all together and wants to work hard.”
Hamilton made his first competitive appearance for City on Saturday and believes the way he has settled down is due to the positive nature of everyone at the club.
He added: “When you come to a new club you always want to play. The lads have been great since coming in and I feel like I have settled in really well.
“Everyone is so friendly and that was a massive part of the reason I joined.”
