Paudie O’Connor will be City’s captain for the 2023/24 season.
After more than a year with the Imps, the central defender has been handed the armband and will take up a big leadership role throughout the campaign.
O’Connor clocked up 53 appearances for City in all competitions since signing in 2022 and played a vital part last season in Mark Kennedy’s side securing a top half finish.
Head coach Mark Kennedy said: “He should be very proud of himself, it’s thoroughly deserved - we have a fantastic captain with Paudie wearing the armband.
“We’ve got lots of leaders but it was important to pick the right captain to represent the club, and Paudie is that.”
