Lukas Jensen expressed his happiness after helping the Imps into round three of the Carabao Cup with two big penalty saves.
The City goalie denied Louie Marsh and Benie Traore in the penalty shootout to send the Imps on their way to a historic victory at Premier League Sheffield United on Wednesday night.
He said: “After I chose the right side for the first penalty, I felt good. Then going into the second one I felt even better when I saved it.
“Obviously I saved one more and then they put it over the crossbar, so it all worked out. Big credit to my goalkeeper coach because he helped me a lot.
“To win against a Premier League team is something we will definitely take into Saturday.”
Jensen also described the rush of emotions he felt after winning the shootout and celebrating with the sold out away end behind the goal.
He added: “I must have done something right to put the pressure on him to put it over the bar. When I saw it go over I turned around and celebrated with the fans, and to see that many of them with us was unbelievable.
“I don’t think you can describe it and you have to be in the moment. All the feelings came out and it is probably one of the best feelings in football.
“To win a game, get a clean sheet and then to help the team win on penalties makes it a very good night.”
