Reeco Hackett is determined to continue the positive form which has seen the Imps pick up two wins in a row.
City followed up Tuesday’s win at Notts County with three points and three goals against Wycombe Wanderers in the first home league game of the season.
Hackett said: “I thought it was a top performance from the boys and it was good to bounce back after the last league game. It was a different test to last weekend but ultimately we got our rewards.
“We came away with a win at Notts County and it was another good performance on Saturday. There’s still a lot of work to be done but it’s definitely a good platform to build on.”
The triple substitution in the second half helped change the game, with Hackett complimenting the quality within the squad and highlighted the difference Ted Bishop made after coming on.
Hackett added: “It has got to be a squad effort and we definitely have a squad now where the head coach can make a difference because we have got really got quality.
“Everyone knows how good Ted Bishop is. He’s got real quality and when he gets into those areas, he’s always going to be dangerous.”
