Lasse Sorensen is taking a lot of confidence from City’s win against promotion candidates Plymouth Argyle.
The Dane put in a man of the match performance at Home Park and helped set up the Imps’ opening goal in a clever counter-attacking move.
He said: “I think we have been good at that all season. We played well but the goals we scored sums us up because we were really good on the counter.
“I thought we went at Plymouth and took the game to them. We played some decent football at times.
“We all know how great they have been at home this season but that shows our quality because we’re a really good team when we’re on it.”
381 City supporters backed the Imps in Devon and Sorensen was keen to reciprocate the appreciation they gave him from the stands.
He added: “I am really appreciative of the fans singing my name and it means a lot to me.
“I’d like to say thank you very much for the support because it was unbelievable. After the game we went down to clap them and enjoy the moment as a group.”
