Lasse Sorensen has emphasised the importance the fans and the community have had throughout this campaign.
Sorensen recently received City’s 22/23 PFA Community Champion award for his significant contribution in the community this season. The Dane has frequently visited local schools on behalf of the Foundation and attended Marcus Needham’s funeral on behalf of the club.
He said: “It has been a big pleasure - I feel like it's very important for our club. As a football club and as players, we need the fans and the whole community behind us.
“I’m a big believer in stuff like that and I really enjoy it. On a personal level I enjoy going around and speaking to new people. If you go somewhere and feel like they appreciate you being there and you can give them a smile on their face, it means a lot to me.”
After securing ten points from the last four matches, City’s No.21 hopes to finish the season strongly.
He added: “It’s about finishing the campaign on a good one now. I think it’s very important to finish the season quite well because that’s when you go into the off-season break.
“The mood around the whole club, the fans and everything is just better than finishing on a bad run. We are very aware of that so we need to finish strongly, and we will try to do that.”
