Fresh off the back of an international camp with England U21, Carl Rushworth is determined for a strong finish to his loan with the Imps.
City’s No.1 has been one of Mark Kennedy’s standout performers over the course of the season and has thoroughly enjoyed his time on and off the pitch.
Rushworth said: “I have really enjoyed my time at the club and living in the city and I think getting away with England recently shows I’ve performed well too.
“I have just come back from a camp and it was good to be in a different environment where you can get new opinions and take that on board.
"That will help me push on with Lincoln to finish strong and return to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer.”
In a season of highlights for the 21-year-old, the shot-stopper says he has relished opportunities to play at iconic stadiums, but will reflect most fondly on the relationship he has built with the City supporters.
He added: “I think there are so many memories I will take home from this loan, including the support the team have received. I know it’s a cliché to say they’re our twelfth man, but that is real. When we hear them backing us, even through the tough times, that is huge.
“Personally, I feel the fans have taken me under their wing and have been really good to me. I have felt as though I’m one of their own, despite only being here for the season, and that helps to boost my confidence and has been massive for me.”
