Paudie O’Connor is eager to bounce back to winning ways in City’s final away game of the season.
The defender wants to finish the campaign on a positive note and knows that a win at Morecambe on Saturday would be a big step towards achieving this.
He said: “It is up to us to go there and put on a performance especially off the back of Tuesday’s result.
“I know we will have fans travelling up there as well so we want to send them away happy and make sure we are finishing as strong as we can.”
O'Connor has also reflected on the 17 league clean sheets this season and wants to share out the credit amongst his team-mates and the coaching staff for the work that’s done in training.
He continued: “Over the course of the season including all the cup games I can only think of a few matches which have been off days for us.
“It has been a squad effort and it’s down to the structures we have as a team which has been worked on a lot on the training pitch.
“We have our core bases there to be solid and hard to beat and I think we have just built on that as the games have gone on.”
