Mark Kennedy has praised the club and the staff for their progressive and creative thinking.
The Imps’ rise from non-league, as well as an FA Cup quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium has been well documented, but the City head coach has insisted the club’s reputation in the footballing world is strong.
He said: “The club has proven it’s progressive. Look at where the club was and how attendances were ten years ago, and look where we are now and what the managers have done before me – I hope I have added to that too.
“I think the club has proven itself undoubtedly and it’s moving in the right direction with some really talented and creative high-end people.
“Before I arrived, I know the club had a very attractive reputation in the world of football in terms of the things we are doing with loans and youth players. When you look at the minutes we’ve given to young players this year, we’re right up there in the EFL.”
With progression in mind, Kennedy is keen for a strong end to the season, with City currently poised for one of their highest league finishes in many years.
He added: “We just want to win as many games as we can. We want to be the best we can be and finish as high as possible.
“We haven’t played one game where we didn’t enter the fixture thinking we could win, and Saturday that will be no different.”
