Mark Kennedy is pleased with the defensive foundations his side have built in order to earn another clean sheet.
The Imps secured their 17th shutout of the season in a 2-0 win at Wycombe Wanderers, with City’s head coach keen to applaud how resolute his side have been at the back.
He said: “You have to have a foundation to build on things. I think tactically out of possession we are excellent and that allows the other guys to flourish.
“We have got enough talent within our group that on any given day we can hurt teams and we are starting to see that now.”
City extended their unbeaten run to six games with victory at Adams Park, but Kennedy insists that everyone must remain composed in order to achieve what he’s building towards.
He added: “We have got really good people in the building in terms of staff and players. It takes time to build things and we have to stay calm and relaxed.
“We are not a team that will be knocking on the doors of the play-offs just yet but I do strongly believe we are heading in the right direction.”
