Ethan Erhahon wants to reward the City fans who have helped him quickly settle into life in Lincolnshire with a good performance in the final game of the season on Sunday.
City will conclude the Sky Bet League One campaign by hosting Shrewsbury and know a good result would secure a top-half finish.
He said: “The fans and people in and around the club have helped me settle in well, I’m enjoying every moment at the club.
“We will look to finish the season with a good result and end on a high for the fans.”
Erhahon impressed during City’s loss at Morecambe on Saturday, and he felt his side should have come away from the game with something.
He added: “We showed what we can do in the first 50 minutes. We knew there would be a reaction at half-time as they had to change some things, and we needed to react to that.
“We didn’t get caught up in the occasion. We knew there would be an atmosphere but used it to our strength well in the first-half.”
