City midfielder, Lasse Sorensen, is keen to ensure he remains a mainstay in Mark Kennedy’s side as the Imps head into a difficult month of fixtures.
The Dane has been ever-present in City’s midfield since the start of the season, and whilst he is enjoying his run of games, he insists he is determined to continue fighting for his place.
He said: “That’s the main thing with football, you enjoy it the most when you’re playing. But then it’s about making sure you keep playing so you have to perform to stay in the side.
“Of course I am enjoying it, but I am always learning and I want to keep improving and that’s the main thing.”
Despite his age Sorensen is very much a senior player amongst his City teammates. He attributes his breakthrough in first team football to his hard work and is willing to pass on any advice to the younger Imps players.
He added: “I think we have a good group, so if anybody wanted advice they don’t just have to come to me, I know they could go to anyone in the squad.
“Of course I am happy to help anybody, but I think we have a group of players who all want to make each other better, and you see that on a daily basis when we push each other.”
