City head coach, Mark Kennedy, says his side delivered on a number of objectives in their 2-0 win over Derby County on Tuesday evening.
The Imps collected three points for the first time at the LNER Stadium in 2022/23, with Jack Diamond and Ben House on the scoresheet as the pair opened their accounts for the season.
Kennedy said: “There were a couple of big targets hit tonight; a clean sheet and a first win at home to maintain the unbeaten run here.
"I am pleased for the group because I knew it was going to be a good atmosphere with the opposition bringing a lot of fans. I was really looking forward to it on a personal level and wanted to make sure I embraced it because it was an amazing occasion to be standing on the touchline, and I just wanted the lads to do the same and appreciate the moment too."

Alongside the result, Kennedy was pleased with some of the statistical elements from his side, with the hard work put in on the training pitch paying off under the lights at the LNER Stadium.
He added: "I am always very proud of them, even when we don’t win, because one thing they never do is give up. I think every player ran 11 kilometres today which is extraordinary.
"We had an in-house game on Saturday and the players ran further in a training game than they had in some league games and our statistics are high in those, so that is one thing they always do, and that gives us everything they have.
"I am so pleased for them because they got what they deserved tonight and sometimes you don’t get that."
