Mark Kennedy is happy with the emphatic finishing from his side at Bristol Rovers.
The Imps hit six in the league for the first time since 2018, with Kennedy crediting his players’ movement and finishing in front of goal.
He said: “I have to give the lads maximum credit for the win. We asked them to play to a game plan and offensively they were outstanding. I thought we were very good in the final third and I felt that we could have had a few more goals.
“We have highlighted some things where we felt that we could give ourselves an opportunity to punish the opposition, so huge praise should go to the boys for that because they were clinical in their finishing.”
Over 400 travelling City supporters cheered the side onto back-to-back Sky Bet League One victories and Kennedy has highlighted their importance in the win at the Memorial Stadium.
He continued: “You can see the connection between the players and the fans. There is a real unity there and support for one another. We have had it all season from them and I keep saying it, but it does not go unnoticed.
“It plays a massive part in our success. We have a very young team so we need all the help we can get, and their support is just phenomenal and we are very grateful. You could hear them singing all the way through the match.”
