Mark Kennedy is looking for City to continue their consistent start to the season.
The Imps’ start to the campaign has seen them lose just once, with Kennedy pleased with the positivity shown by his side.
He said: “Over the course of the season so far, I think we have been very good. If we take the Peterborough game out, we have been very consistent. That is a big plus for me.
“When people ask me what success is this year, it is a continuation of what the club has been doing over a number of years.
“The work that has been done in the last couple of years is excellent. My job is to continue the good work in my own way.”
Kennedy has also applauded Cambridge’s start to the season and said that he’s expecting a difficult match on Saturday afternoon.
He added: “I think it will be a really tough game and their style is not going to change. I do not mean that in a good or a bad way, we know what is coming.
“They are an incredibly hard-working, disciplined team who have good experienced players. I think it will be a bit direct at times.
“You can see where they are in the league and where they finished last season. Cambridge are definitely a team on the up.”
