City’s Green Leaders were at the LNER Stadium for the first time against Charlton Athletic last Saturday.
Lincoln City Foundation ran a five-day free programme called ‘Green Leaders’ earlier this year aimed to develop young people’s sustainability, leadership and creativity skills.
From this programme this group of 16-18 year-olds presented a plan to the club’s Green Team discussing how they can volunteer and help the club become greener.
Kate O’Reilly, Lincoln City Foundation community manager, said: “As part of this plan members of the Green Leaders will be at LCFC’s home games starting in Poachers Den with fun eco-friendly activities and then at the end of the match will be found in the GBM stand holding litter bags for fans to place any rubbish in.”
If you are a 16-18-year-old and would like to take part in the next Green Leader programme or if you would like to volunteer to help the Green Leaders, email GreenLeaders@lincolncityfoundation.co.uk.
