Imps midfielder Conor McGrandles says the strong form on the road is a positive for his side to draw on moving forward.
With a 100% win rate away from LNER Stadium since the turn of 2022, the Scotsman explained this form provides a confidence boost ahead of the trip to MK Dons next weekend.
The midfielder said: “Away from home we seem to be up there and can play against anyone, it puts us in a confident place ahead of next week and that’s what we’ve got to look at to get all three points.”
As well as strong team performances in recent weeks, the January signing, John Marquis, has adapted quickly to life at the LNER Stadium, scoring two goals in as many games.
Conor says his arrival has been a welcome addition to the team and hopes his prowess at the top end of the pitch can help fire the Imps further up the league over the remainder of the season.
He added: “The two goals he’s scored so far have been proper strikers’ goals. I’ve played against him a few times so it’s no surprise he does that and hopefully when he continues to get fitter, he’ll keep banging them in.
“There are still relationships building but you see how much more fluid we are compared to a few weeks ago. We’re creating a lot more chances when a while ago we weren’t, so that’s an area we definitely have to take positives from over these next few weeks and get some extra goals.
“The frustrating thing is we’ve left a lot of points behind in games where we’ve played well in, so we need to address that and pick up as many points as we can."
