Conor McGrandles says every player in the Imps squad will give their all to avoid getting dragged into a relegation battle.
City are five points clear of the bottom four, and McGrandles says his team-mates will keep fighting to move up the table.
He said: “There’s not a single person in this squad that I wouldn’t trust to carry out a role or responsibility that the manager or coaching staff have asked of them.
“They’re a great group of lads and I’ve got every confidence that we all know what needs to be done and we are up for it.”
McGrandles highlighted the creation of chances as a positive, and believes City would benefit from scoring the first goal in Saturday’s game against Gillingham.
He added: “It’s just about getting that lead in the game and hopefully the goals will come. We’re creating the chances every week so we’ve got to believe we will take most of them.
“We’ve got to have a positive frame of mind going into the Gillingham game because if you don’t then you’re already on the back foot.”
