A glittering line up of celebrity stars are taking to the LNER Stadium pitch in October to help raise funds for Lincoln City Foundation's community based programmes.
A number of high-profile names will participate in a charity football match at Lincoln City’s LNER Stadium on Sunday October 23 to support the club’s in-house charity.
Those looking to show off their football skills include TV personality Calum Best and ex-TOWIE stars James Argent and Dan Osborne.
EastEnders stars Dean Gaffney, most famous as Robbie Jackson, Jake Wood, who portrayed Max Branning, Danny Hatchard, who played Lee Carter, and Matt Lapinskas, who portrayed the role of Anthony Moon, will also be taking to the pitch.
Other celebrities participating in the charity football game include ITV 2’s Survival of the Fittest contestant Warren Phillips, Britain’s Got Talent 2022 finalist Flintz and TV chef Dean Edwards.
Martin Hickerton, chief executive of the Lincoln City Foundation, said: “We’re really grateful these high-profile people are taking time out to come and help raise money to help us support the physical, social and mental wellbeing of people in Lincolnshire.
“Our goal as a charity is to create healthier, happier and inspired communities - we believe we are achieving this through the match, in addition to creating a legacy with funding to allow us to continue our work in the local area.”
The game has been organised by Sellebrity Soccer, which was launched in 2012 to help charities raise money by arranging all-star football matches across the UK.
Sellebrity Soccer’s co-founder Kevin Cooper said: “We are proud to organise large-scale charity events that enable organisations to raise vital funds to help people in society.”
Kick off is at 3pm on Sunday October 23, but fans can enjoy the buzz of the stadium with the University Of Lincoln Fan Village open from 1pm.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for U16s and OAPs and £40 for VIPs. A booking fee also applies. Executive boxes, which can house up to 10 people, are £100.
