City’s matchday provision has been taken up another level with the opening of Poacher’s Den - an indoor area dedicated to families attending matches.
Poacher’s Den, situated in Lincoln City Foundation’s Community Hub at the north end of the GBM Stand, provides opportunities for young supporters to take part in a wide range of fun activities including playing Fifa, table tennis or a range of other games.
It is open before every home match at the LNER Stadium and ensures there is always plenty for families to do before a game regardless of the weather.
This complements the existing provision, which includes football sessions on the 3G pitch opposite the SRP Stand and the University of Lincoln Fan Village activities which includes inflatable challenge and VR experiences provided by Tension Twisted Realities.
Martin Hickerton, chief executive at the Foundation, said: “We’re all really pleased to get Poacher’s Den open on matchdays and are looking forward to seeing it become a real hive of activity.
“We’ve had excellent feedback so far, with a number of Exeter City fans complimenting us on welcoming them in and describing it as the warmest welcome they’ve had at an away match.
“Several Foundation team members gave up their own time to come in and help redecorate the room and the result is a brilliant family-focused space. We can’t wait to see how fans use the Den and help us develop it further.”
