Imps head coach Mark Kennedy believes the signing of exciting forward Jordon Garrick will bring something different to his frontline options.
The 24-year-old became City’s seventh summer signing having arrived from Sky Bet Championship side Swansea City on a season-long loan.
He said: “I am really pleased to have signed Jordon because he is a good player. He is someone that we have been after for some time.
“Jordon can play anywhere across the frontline and is very quick and direct. He can cause a lot of problems and also has the ability to play inside.”
Kennedy has also said that he is anticipating another challenging fixture when Forest Green Rovers visit the LNER Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
He added: “We are expecting a really tough game and I think that Forest Green are a side that are likely to do very well this season.
“Tuesday was fantastic, but it is behind us now. The principles of what we are trying to do were evident but we need to see that in our league form.
“Hopefully, Saturday will be another step in the right direction for us.”
