Mark Kennedy is keeping level-headed as the Imps look to earn a place in round three of the Carabao Cup at Barrow.
Kennedy’s side will look to get back to winning ways when facing the Bluebirds at SO Legal Stadium on Tuesday evening.
He said: “We were very reactive on Saturday but one game will not define our season.
“In six games so far, we have been beaten in one of them, which I will take. If we are beaten once in our next six games then I will be really pleased with that.”
Despite Saturday’s defeat, Kennedy was keen to point out that it’s been a positive weekend at the club following Lincoln City Women’s season opener at the LNER Stadium.
He continued: “There was an incredible turnout from the fans at the LNER Stadium on Sunday. It was another fabulous show of what the club is doing going forwards.
“It is absolutely brilliant for women’s football, it is on such a high. I would definitely like to get down to the women’s games and I will do that.
“It is another step in the right direction and for the growth of women’s football. I know we did not get the result on the day but a huge congratulations to all involved.”
