City stretched their unbeaten start to the season to four games despite being held to a draw by Forest Green Rovers.
The Imps took a deserved lead when Rovers defender Baily Cargill could not handle Anthony Scully's cross, and it ricocheted into his own net.
Connor Wickham levelled the score after 72 minutes with a clinical finish into a top corner.
