Jack Diamond already feels at home after impressing on his City debut on Tuesday evening.
Having signed on a season-long loan from Sunderland on Monday, Diamond made his deebut in Tuesday night's 3-0 win at Barnsley. He feels he is already settling into City’s system.
He said: “It was a great debut for me, winning 3-0. I thought it was a good performance from everyone.
“Mark Kennedy just said to express myself and also put some pictures in my head to help me fit into the team and understand how they play.
“First and foremost, I enjoy playing the game. It was ashame not to get a goal or assist tonight, but having won 3-0, we cannot ask for much more as a team.”
Diamond was pleased with the Imps’ professional performance at Oakwell and was also keen to express his main aims and ambitions for his time with the Imps.
He added: “I knew about the interest for about two or three weeks. I have been eager to get over here and it is nice to finally get the move done.
“It is a really good platform for me to come and further my career. I think everyone here is really good at their jobs, especially the coaches. I am here to improve myself at the end of the day.
“Any young player needs regular football and I think that is definitely what I am aiming to get here at Lincoln City.”
