Young City defender Hayden Cann has joined Gainsborough Trinity on a season-long loan.
Cann, who has been a part of City's Academy since he was eight, spent time with the Northern Premier League side last season.
He has made two first-team appearances for the Imps since signing his first professional contract in October 2020.
City's director of football Jez George said: "After a successful loan at Lincoln United in the second half of last season, this is excellent progression for Hayden to challenge himself at the next level.
"The loan allows us the flexibility for Hayden to also play in our B team fixtures and to continue training full-time with our first team, so that Hayden gets the best of both worlds – our full-time environment Monday to Friday and a really competitive fixture programme every Saturday.”
