March proved to be a strong month for our Imps loanees with unbeaten runs, international call-ups and player of the month nominations.
Beginning in the Republic of Ireland, Sam Long and Sean Roughan had a strong month with the highlight for Drogheda being a 1-0 victory over Dundalk in the Louth derby in which Sam kept a clean sheet and Sean was awarded Man of the Match.
Sean went on to make four appearances in March, collecting two wins and earning a nomination for the SSE Airtricity player of the month.
In a month in which Sam returned from a brief injury spell, the keeper made three appearances for Drogs.
Both players then received international call-ups, the first ever for Sam, for Rep of Ireland U19 and Scotland U21 camps respectively.
Sean started all three games in the U19 Elite Round of the European Championship, playing 90 minutes against England U19s, including Brooke Norton-Cuffey, and Portugal U19s.
Elsewhere in the EFL, Theo Archibald continued to get regular minutes for Leyton Orient, making six appearances and scoring once.
Striker Charley Kendall was in sublime form throughout March. His side, Eastbourne Borough, pieced together an unbeaten run with the frontman contributing four goals in five consecutive wins throughout the month.
Inbetween fixtures Charley has returned to Lincolnshire to regularly train with the first team and acclimatise to life at the Imps ahead of his return to City in the summer.
Also in non-league action was Gainsborough Trinity pairing Freddie Draper and Jovon Makama. In a month in which the Holy Blues struggled for points, both frontmen impressed as Freddie netted once in four appearances, while Jovon scored two in five matches.
Finally, Hayden Cann starred for Lincoln United and ended the month with two consecutive clean sheets.
Congratulations to all of the lads on a successful month and best of luck throughout April.
