A new commentary service is being launched by the Imps to allow fans with visual impairments to follow action on the pitch easier.
The audio descriptive commentary is a free service featuring live commentary which will run for all Imps’ first-team games going forward.
Supporters who wish to use the service can collect a receiver and headset from the ticket office before the game - this will be from the supporter liaison officer service point until 2pm then from the main desk up to 3pm. The receiver and headset can then be returned to your nearest steward after the match.
Fans are encouraged to bring their own headphones where possible to minimise the amount of equipment needed to be shared - the receivers have a standard aux output.
The service was made possible thanks to the hard work of a number of Imps fans who did a fundraising overnight hike up Mount Snowden in Wales - these fundraisers will be presented to fans during half-time of Saturday’s match.
Anyone with questions about the service are asked to contact disability liaison officer Heidi Langham on dlo@theredimps.com.
