Conor McGrandles is eager to kick-on with the rest of season after his second goal of the campaign helped continue City's good run.
The Scotsman’s diving header minutes before half-time put the Imps ahead against Shrewsbury Town, with the 1-1 draw ensuring his side remain in the top half of Sky Bet League One ahead of a likely three-week break from the league due to Emirates FA Cup action next week and the international break.
He said: “It’s not bad considering the injuries we’ve had, but we always want to do better. You’ve seen what we’re capable of in terms of performances at Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Athletic so it’s just trying to find that consistency.
“Next Saturday is a good game to look forward to. It’s an FA Cup tie so hopefully we can put a good performance on for the supporters and get through to the next round.”
The Imps will be taking on non-league side Bowers and Pitsea, who have reached the first round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time in their history, at the LNER Stadium next Saturday. Click here to book your ticket now.
