Lasse Sorensen believes two clean sheets in a row have given the Imps something to build from as they enter a busy period.
Saturday’s goalless draw at Doncaster followed a 1-0 win over Bowers & Pitsea in the Emirates FA Cup, with that record giving Sorensen plenty of belief.
The midfielder said: “We are happy to keep another clean sheet as we haven’t done that enough this season and this is a real positive.
“There was some good stuff play and we were solid at the back, but you also need to score goals and that was missing on Saturday - we know the game should have been done in the first-half.”
The Imps have a hectic fixture list, with progression in both the FA Cup and Papa John’s Trophy ensuring Saturday and Tuesday games over the next three weeks. Sorensen sees that as a real opportunity.
He added: “If you can get a few wins you’ll jump up a few places as the table is so tight.
“We have had some good results but haven’t always backed it up with a run, which we know we can do."
