Lewis Fiorini inspired Scotland U21s to their first European Championship qualifying victory, defeating Kazakhstan at Tannadice.
He opened the scoring in the 28th minute, nutmegging his opponent before striking the ball into the far corner. Lewis then assisted the winner for Scotland, setting up Glenn Middleton who secured the three points.
Archie Mair also played a full 90 minutes for Scotland in goal. Lewis and Archie are back in action on Tuesday, coming up against group leaders Belgium.
Imps Academy midfielder Billy Brooks scored his first international goal for Republic of Ireland U18s. His strike levelled the score in the 65th minute in a friendly against Sweden.
Josh Griffiths was in the matchday squad and gained valuable experience for England U21s. The Young Lions won 3-1 at Burnley FC’s Turf Moor versus Czech Republic.
Sean Roughan was also a substitute for two of Republic of Ireland’s U19s matches. They beat Montenegro 3-2, followed by a draw against Bosnia & Herzegovina in the UEFA U19 Championship qualifiers.
