Michael Appleton will freshen up his squad ahead of back-to-back cup fixtures this week.
The Imps head to Carlisle United in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday night before hosting Hartlepool United in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup.
He said: “We’ve got an opportunity now to freshen it up a bit, one or two new faces in the starting line-up, and hopefully if we can progress in cup competitions it can help league form and we can start climbing up the table.
"We’ll keep trying to build a bit of momentum and confidence may come back."
Appleton was frustrated with the 1-0 home loss to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
He added: "You go into every match wanting to win and we’ve come up short: the stats will say we should have got more out of the game, but they scored from their first proper shot at goal and then it took too long to get over the disappointment.
“I thought our build play was good until the final third, but once it gets 30 yards from goal we’re missing a spark.
"I thought the subs had a decent impact on the game, which is a positive, and they’re going to get an opportunity over the next couple of games to stake a claim before we start playing in the league again."
